Piano Lessons in Vienna

"Music has been a part of my life since childhood and has taken me to stages in Kazakhstan, Russia, Austria, and the USA – as a soloist, chamber musician, and prizewinner at international competitions. For more than 10 years, I have also been teaching piano and bringing this experience into my lessons, which I am eager to share with my students.

At the heart of every lesson lies the love for music. Joy and enthusiasm are, in my view, the essential keys to developing technical skills, musicality, and self-confidence. Music should never be experienced as an obligation, but as enrichment and inspiration.

In Vienna, I offer children, teenagers, and adults the opportunity to discover music from the very beginning. With the youngest students, I emphasize a playful approach: body percussion, singing, rhythm exercises, and solfeggio allow music to be experienced with body, voice, and instrument. From the start, reading music is introduced naturally as part of playing the piano, so that step by step, students learn not only to reproduce music, but also to understand it independently.

Regular performance opportunities are an important part of my teaching. All students participate in studio concerts, and older ones are encouraged to take part in competitions. Such experiences foster musicality, self-confidence, and stage presence. I support them in overcoming stage fright and in experiencing public performance as both a joy and an opportunity.

I see my teaching not only as piano instruction, but as a holistic process that helps young people grow musically, artistically, and personally. My task is to nurture strengths, work on weaknesses with care, and accompany each individual according to their personality – whether on the path to becoming a professional musician or as a source of lifelong enrichment. Inspiration is found not only at the piano: attending concerts, exploring literature, and exchanging ideas with other artists are all part of the journey.

My pedagogical philosophy is shaped by two traditions: on the one hand, the Russian school, known for its discipline, rigor, and technical mastery; on the other, European music pedagogy, which emphasizes a playful and creative approach to learning. For me, what matters most is that a child first and foremost finds joy in making music. Only through joy can a true love of music grow – and with it, all artistic goals.

Whether taking first musical steps or engaging in advanced artistic work, my goal is to open the world of piano playing to every student with passion, discipline, and heart."
